Environmental Management System

Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited (CGCL) is committed to carrying out its responsibilities in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to sound environmental management and sustainable business practices while maintaining high-quality performance.

CGCL is pursuing ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system. ISO 14001 is an effective environmental management system to assure you that the environmental impacts are being measured and improved.


Environmental Monitoring

CGCL monitors the following to ensure it is within permissible levels:

  • Air quality
  • Water quality leaving the site
  • Marine water and sediment at the Port of Brighton
  • Noise

Waste Management

CGCL manages both its general and hazardous waste from generation to final disposal to prevent any unwanted impact on people and the environment. CGCL also recycles e-waste, paper, plastic bottles, spent toner, ink cartridges and dry cell batteries.
