CGCL Employees Inspire Students to “Dream Big” at Annual Career Day
On October 6, 2026, Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited (CGCL) hosted its Annual Career Day with students from its two Learning Support Centres (LSCs). The initiative is aligned to CGCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Education pillar and is aimed at broadening students’ awareness of various careers in the world of work. Attending the event were the teachers and academic coaches of the LSCs, and the Honourable Clyde Elder, Member of Parliament for La Brea.
CGCL’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Mrs. Elizabeth Warner Julien, delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the two presenters, Mr. Deanesh Ramkissoon, Mechanical Superintendent, and Ms. Lyandra Ramsamooj, Environmental & Quality Assurance Supervisor, who shared insights into their academic journeys, and career experiences, giving students a firsthand perspective on the pathways to a rewarding career. The presentations were followed by a question and answer session, where students eagerly participated, asking a range of interesting and thoughtful questions, with some even being recognized for their exceptional recollection of key information shared by the presenters.
Through initiatives such as the Annual Career Day, CGCL continues to invest in the development of young, impressionable minds within the La Brea community, encouraging them to dream big, and reminding them of the myriad possibilities that await them, beyond the classroom.
