Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural identity is a beautiful mixture that reflects our past and defines our present. Our lineages mark our indigenous, European, African, East Indian, and Chinese roots while welcoming the roots of other nations, and have made us unique in our rhythms – the way we sing, dance and create music – as well as our visual art and our theatre.
At CGCL, we have always supported cultural events that reflect the talents of our people. In our communities, we extend that support at Junior Calypso competitions where young bands take centre stage to represent our culture and remind us that we are a people connected by a spirit of unity.
