CGCL Celebrates Japanese Culture Day
On Monday 17, November 2025, Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited’s CEO, Keio Kato, members of staff and contractors, proudly celebrated Japanese Culture Day. The celebration featured several engaging activities among participants, including a lively Chopstick Competition, which tested partakers’ dexterity and control as they raced to complete the ‘nerves of steel’ challenge in the allotted time. Adding to the cultural immersion, employees and contractors participated in a Takoyaki cooking workshop instructed by the CEO and other Japanese Executives. The hands-on session gave participants the opportunity to learn the art of preparing this popular Japanese delicacy, which was consumed fresh off the grill 😊. Employees also donned traditional Japanese attire during the Yukata Dress session facilitated by the Japanese Ladies Association based in Trinidad and Tobago. The session offered a glimpse into the artistry and cultural significance of this iconic Japanese garment and saw staff members lining up to show their appreciation for this rich, creative tradition. Subarashī taiken o sa sete kureta Nihon no yūjin-tachi ni kansha shimasu (thank you to our Japanese friends for an awesome experience!) Arigato gozaimasu!
