Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited (CGCL) Hosts Career Fair

On Tuesday 30, September 2025, Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited (CGCL) hosted a Career Fair with the most recent cohort of students from its two Learning Support Centres located in the community of La Brea.  These Centres were established in partnership with the La Brea Association for Innovation (LBAFI) in 2023 and are key educational and CSR investment for the company.

Organized by CGCL’s Corporate Affairs Department, the event provided an interactive and engaging platform for students to gain valuable insights into the diverse roles and functions within CGCL. Through dynamic presentations and open discussions, participants were exposed to the qualifications, skills, and experiences necessary to become successful in the energy sector and petrochemical industry.

Delivering presentations on behalf of CGCL were Mr. Deanesh Ramkissoon, Mechanical Superintendent; Ms. Lyandra Ramsamooj, Environmental Supervisor; Ms. Nikita Villaroel, Process Operator III; and Mr. Reuben Ramkhelawan, Process Plant Operator.  The team shared their personal career journeys/experiences, discussed the academic qualifications required in their respective fields and walked participants through a typical workday, while offering practical advice to guide students in charting their own professional paths. A great time was had by all in attendance.
